... about Social Security.  And given how much RePIGliCON's worship Reagan, I wonder if they will even bother to listen to what he had to say about Social Security back in 1984.

Well, as we approach the cheery war on christmas season where the Fox Boobs lunatics distract their stupid viewers with pointless, useless, dribble, there is an article by Michael Klare on TomDispatch.com of utmost importance to humanity about climate change and it ain't cheery at all.

In fact it makes me bloody fucking glad I never had kids as their future would be mighty fucking bleak if they even have a future at all.

Oh my.  This is one fine fucked up planet we are handing over to our kids as corporate greed speeds to extract and burn fossil fuels as fast as they fucking can in a race to make America the number 1 provider of fossil fuels in the world without any regard to the health of the planet we all must call home.

But rather than rant on, let me recommend you make the article required reading, especially if you have kids and care about their future.  Here's a taste clipped from it:


"No Hope for Averting Catastrophic Climate Change

Of all the findings in the 2012 edition of the World Energy Outlook, the one that merits the greatest international attention is the one that received the least.  Even if governments take vigorous steps to curb greenhouse gas emissions, the report concluded, the continuing increase in fossil fuel consumption will result in “a long-term average global temperature increase of 3.6 degrees C.”

But will people sit up and take notice?  Or will they figure 2100 is a long ways off and they'll be dead by then anyway, when the calendar turns over 2100 and the temperature magically flips and ramps up that 3.6 degrees that we won't suffer until then.

... I hate these people?  Oh god.  Sometimes I don't even know what to say except that I get so mad I could have a stroke.

I'm sure you have heard of the horrific fire in that clothing factory in Bangladesh that just like the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Fire in New York, also killed well over 100 people laboring for what, 21 cents an hour?

Oh but then I'm sure those super capitalistic right wing Nazi Christian free marketeer rat pig bastards out there will moan over the loss of the poor factory building that burned down and the poor owners who owned it.  What will they do now?  Oh my.

As for all the people who died, I'm sure those rat pig bastards will figure it all worked out really well for them.  They get to go on a permanent vacation now, from life.

And meanwhile you have all these billionaire corporate CEO's over here demanding cuts on any and all programs that help the poor or the elderly here in the US of A, all while they reap billions in government contracts and tax breaks for themselves.  Talk about fat greedy pigs feeding at the trough.  Let me tell you I hate these people.  I really hate them.  There isn't an ounce of humanity in them.  Sometimes I think the wrong people burned to death in those horrible fires.  I'm sure they will complain that the fires weren't their fault though.  It was just one of those things, you know?

No, cut labor costs to the bone.  Safety regulations?  Who needs them when there's money to be made.  Lock up those slaves, oops, I mean associates, in the building and don't let them out for anything.  Work 'em to the bone.  See how happy they are!  And if there's a fire and a mess of them die, oh well, they're expendable for the greater good, the corporation.  Cost of business you know.  And besides, I'm sure some insurance company will send the corporation a big fat check for all those dead associates.

A Political prisoner in America - Don Siegelman

Today is Thanksgiving, that great American holiday where we give thanks.  It is a nice holiday and certainly gives you pause to think of those people and things in your life to be thankful for.  But I cannot be thankful thinking of people rotting in American prisons, thrown in jail to suit the purpose and advantage of political opponents.

The prisoner in this case is Don Siegelman, who was the victim of the machinations of Karl Rove and the RePIGliCON party in Alabama.  They wanted him out of their way.  They trumped up a bullshit case and prosecuted him under an evil right wing pig rat bastard judge.    If you aren't familiar with the case, check out this article on the Huffingtonpost.  Even many Republicans are outraged by this injustice.

Imagine getting thrown in jail for reappointing a person to a non-paying, state hospital oversight board who had already served several terms on it and who didn't particularly even want to serve again.  But that person had donated $500K to support a referendum to create a state lottery that would raise money to send Alabama kids to college for free.  There was no quid quo pro.  Don Siegelman tried to do something good for the kids in his state and ended up in jail for it.

Don's daughter, Dana, has created a petition asking President Obama to pardon and free her dad.  Her petition has been out there for awhile, and has been discussed on numerous talk shows and the like.  Millions of people have heard about it and yet it looks like only a little more than 39,000 people have signed it.   For the life of me, I don't understand why 50 million people haven't signed it.

If you have not already done so, please sign this petition asking President Obama to pardon Don Siegelman.   I can't for the life of me, understand why Obama has not pardoned him already.  This injustice needs to be overturned and that fucking rat pig bastard Karl Rove thrown in jail instead!!!!

As is my habit during the week, I ventured over to Nicole Sandler's Radio or Not website today to stream her show and I saw that she posted an article by the Israeli Peace Movement Gush Shalom founder Uri Avnery, which she described as "the best thing I’ve read from an Israeli about the horrific practice of bombing one another into oblivion instead of fixing the problems that divide us" and I have to agree with Nicole on all counts.  Read it and you'll learn more about what is going on there then you likely will otherwise.

To be sure, I am no expert on the Mid-East but I do have a sense of justice and I have long felt that Israel has treated the Palestinian people like absolutely fucking shit.  As former President Jimmy Carter said, the Palestinians are living under apartheid.  The Palestinians are fenced in, they can't hardly get basic supplies or medicine, and often live in squalor, even as Israeli settlers expand into the prime land while pushing the Palestinians out of their homes.

You know, if an Israeli bulldozer was tearing down my house to make room for Israeli settlers to move in, you better fucking know that I would would respond with guns and rockets too.

Ultimately, you reap what you sow.  If you treat people like shit, don't expect them to like it.  They're going to fight back.  The fighting over there doesn't have to be.  I know hatred exists on both sides but if Israel ever wants to really have peace, they better put away the guns and try a little milk and honey instead.  Listen to the Israeli Peace Movement.  Break the chain of reaction and retaliation.  End the violence and fix the problems. Otherwise, like Uri Avnery writes, the bloodletting will go on forever.

Anonymous apparently foiled Karl Rove's attempt to flip Ohio!

OMG.  From a report I just heard, the secretive group Anonymous intercepted and blocked an attempt by Karl Rove and his minions to flip the vote in Ohio and give the election to Romney.  No wonder Rove had his meltdown on Fox Boobs!

I just heard this and haven't had a chance to explore it but check out this link and search for more.  I bet, I'll betcha it's true and we owe an enormous debt of gratitude to this secretive group!   And there ought to be evidence out of this to throw Rove's sorry ass in the slammer for the rest of his life.  And if justice could be added to justice, his sorry ass will end up as the "girlfriend" of the biggest, nastiest ringleader in the jail!  Bend over Rove, here it comes again!  Can't you just see it!  :-)

Though to be honest, I can't imagine how that creepy slug face of Rove's would be attractive to anyone, though sometimes there's no accounting for taste.

The only question now though, is if Rove's slippery ass will slither out of this revelation without being prosecuted.  But then, I imagine he's still trying to escape the wrath of his overlords for failing them.  Maybe there'll be another kind of justice still.  We'll see.

Soap Opera time, Jesus Fucking H. Christ!

So now we have this crazy soap opera going on with David Patraeus, so crazy that you can't hardly make this stuff up!  It's like everybody involved is married, cheating on, and bonking everyone else.  Talk about the sanctity of marriage, OMG!  Has someone told all these straight people about that?  Jesus!

And meanwhile it practically took an act of god and Obama to let gay and lesbians even serve in the military, all while this stuff is going on.  And there are still way, way to many states where gay and lesbian folk cannot marry the person they love because, well, you know, we have to defend marriage.  Oh really!  From what?  Jesus Fucking H. Christ!  Well, at least that is changing though, albeit too slowly.

But this soap opera is so crazy I will leave it to Hollywood to make a movie about it.  Although, usually a good movie has to have a believable plot.  This is just so nutty that this story will have a hard time making the cut for even a bad made-for-TV movie!  It's just too weird, even for this site, and we love our potty mouth!

Nonetheless, Jesus Fucking H. Christ already David, and everyone else involved too!  Put your Johnson away and zip up that fucking zipper and keep it up!

Our super scary fiscal cliff (or curb in our case)

Scared about our 16 trillion dollar national debt?  We're told to be.  To be sure, it is an ugly number and it is a ginormous scary huge pile of money, no doubt about that.

And of course, the scum sucking right wing rat pig bastards blame it all on Obama, that liberal socialist super tax and spend monster.  Never mind that a super ginormous huge pile of that debt was run up by Sonny Boy President George Hero for life W. Bush, who by the way never bothered to put his wars for corporate profit on the books, let alone his giant give away to the pharmaceutical companies with that Medicare drug bill that made it illegal for the federal government to negotiate for better drug prices.

Nope, if you're honest about it, you have to recognize that RePIGliCON's are the real spend monsters here.  They run up huge debts and deficits and then scream like hell about it when the Democrats are in charge.  Talk about stinking lying asshole rat pig bastards, RePIGliCONs are it!

And so we are left with this ugly national debt that scares everybody to death.  And so obviously our only way out is to cut our spending on Medicare and Medicaid and Social Security and food stamps and education and anything and everything that actually helps real people in this country.  Super austerity!  It's the only way to go right?

Well, hold on then now, not so fast.  As bad as our national debt is and relative to our gross domestic product (GDP), it is by no means the worst we have ever had as a nation.  Don't believe me?  Then do a little homework here and check out this chart put up, NOT by any liberal pinko commie leftwing blog like this.  No, this chart is the product of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO).

From the GAO chart, our debt to GDP exceeded 110% during World War II.  It cost us a hell of a lot of money to fight those wars.  But then in those days, we were all in to do it and we did it.  AND we paid off that debt.  Though admittedly and unlike now, that was back in the day when the rich and the corporations actually paid their fair share.

But on the other hand, our debt to GDP ratio is only about half as much as it was during World War II and we have to panic!  OMG!

Nonetheless, if you look at the history of our national debt to GDP, that ratio stayed low through President Carter, until Reagan promptly ran it back up, but then Clinton paid a chunk of that down.  Then it starts to rise again a little bit under Bush, but again, Bush never put any of his huge expenditures on the books, leaving it to Obama to put that debt on the books as it should have been.  And so you see this spike under Obama, as though he were spending all this money.  He's not!  The other side of the coin is revenue, which RePIGliCONs won't allow.  They are dead set on bankrupting the country and they don't give a fuck who get hurts in the process.

See!  RePIGliCONs are exactly that, stinking lying asshole rat pig bastards.  They caused all this debt, lied about that, and then lied about the scope of it relative to our economy!  And then won't allow any revenue to pay it down.  Oh I hate these fuck head people.  And so now we have this so called fiscal cliff were about it head over, right?  Oh Really!?

I have to recommend Nicole Sandler's show today as she played a clip from Chris Hayes who calls it what it is, a "fiscal curb."  And she had a good segment with Rick Ungar from Forbes about it all.   Give a listen and learn.

Oh, and then Nicole rightly focuses on the closing of one progressive radio station after another across this country.  Taking a drive across the country in the future?  If you turn on your car radio, all you are going to get to hear is stinking right wing propaganda from Glen Beck and Rush Limbutt and on and on.

And here I am in the liberal blue progressive Bay Area and the only AM station that plays any progressive talk, AM 960, took off half their progressive programming at the beginning of this year and gave it to Beck and other assholes I could give a fuck about.  These right wing bastards only want right wing propaganda on our airwaves, the people's airwaves.  Assholes.  That's why more and more I turn the radio off and listen to programs like Nicole's and Mike Malloy's on the internet instead.  Let radio die.  Just give me my Nicole

More Corporate Socialism running amuck

This story by David Cay Johnston has been out there since April 12, 2012 but with everything thrown at us every day it is easy to forget about.  I had forgotten about it myself until I heard it again the other day.

Based on studies by Good Jobs First, a nonprofit taxpayer watchdog group, at least 16 states allow the boss to keep the state income taxes deducted from your paycheck.  This goes along with the bullshit  of stores like Walmart keeping the sales tax you have to pay when you shop there.  You think you are paying taxes to support the government services you need and deserve, but no, the money goes to the bottom line of the companies getting these "subsidies," socialism really, for the so-called capitalist free  market so many assholes are totally in love with.

And then you wonder why your property taxes are so high, or why you are being taxed here, there, and everywhere, or why school funding is being cut, or your roads and bridges are falling apart, or why police and fire departments have to layoff officers and firefighters, all while pensions for government workers are blamed for all the deficits.

But you will rarely hear about this diversion of money.  How many states and communities out there are doing this sort of fucking bullshit while keeping it secret?  Who knows?

As far as I am concerned, this is criminal.  It's taxpayer theft.  It's job blackmail.  It's evil.  And it has to end.  If I had my way, I would throw the CEO's of the companies that demand this blackmail AND the politicians who give in to it all in jail and I'd throw away the key!

Election results still flowing in this morning ...

... And I have to take off for the day shortly.  I called TPC last night after Obama won and we celebrated on the phone together.  It will probably still be awhile but TPC hopes to blog again in the future.  I sure hope so.  I'm a poor replacement compared to her writing!

But from the little bit I have heard, we had some great victories yesterday, Alan Grayson, Elizabeth Warren, Tammy Baldwin, and more.

And I heard this morning on Nicole Sandler's Radio or Not show that Alan Grayson had the biggest political come back in history going from loosing by 18 points to winning by 25 or 26 points!

I also gather from Nicole that America's Senator, Bernie Sanders, won by a huge margin in Vermont, winning without spending a lot and by being true to his beliefs.  I love Bernie Sanders and wish there were more like him!

Well, that is it for me today.  I'm already late and need to get out of here.  But even though we lost some tough races, we won a lot too and those victories make me smile!

The time is 8:19 PM PST and I have just heard that President Obama is projected to win having already received 274 Electoral Votes.   YAY!

So far it looks like Romney is ahead in the popular vote, HOWEVER, California still has to be tallied up and I won't be surprised to see Obama win the popular vote too.  I sure hope so.

And now I know things still will not be cherry peachy king in Obama's second administration and we will have to push him from the left, but at least we have a chance with President Obama.  There was no chance of that with Romney.

But for now, celebrate!!!!  Raise a glass!  Congratulations President Obama!!!

I have long thought that many people (I won't say all) in the RePIGliCON party are stinking fucking racist pig bastards and though I did not hear or see this report until today, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, yes, Colin Powell's aid and Chief of Staff, confirmed it last week.

Did you see it?  OK, I don't have cable TV and so I miss a lot but Colonel Wilkerson was on the Ed Show on October 26 and confirmed it, as reported on the Daily Kos:

My party is full of racists and the real reason a considerable portion of my party wants president Obama out of the White House has nothing to do with the content of his character, nothing to do with his competence as commander in chief and President and everything to do with the color of his skin and that is despicable."

Oh man, I wish people like Colonel Wilkerson would/could take back the RePIGliCON party and turn it into something decent.  I know, with all the filthy stinking assholes populating it these days, that's really asking and wishing for a lot.

And meanwhile I watch this video of an emotional Obama yesterday in Iowa and despite whatever complaints and disappointments I had over him in his first term, Obama still seems like a genuinely warm human being.  Unlike Romney, who I am sorry but he gives me the creeps!  Even Romney's laugh feels like finger nails on a chalk board.  Yikes!

But you know, when I look back over the past 4 years and remember the bullshit, the crap, and all the hatred thrown at President Obama by the Jebus loving, racist pig bastard hypoChristians, it makes me want to cry.  And I wish I could give Obama a big hug myself.

So I just went to Nicole Sandler's Radio Or Not website to stream her show and she has a video up showing one of these god damn electronic voting machines in Pennsylvania that registers your vote for Romney when you try to vote for Obama.  You know, if it were me trying to vote on the thing and it did that, I'd take a sledge hammer to it.

But then, I guess I shouldn't be surprised about this given Mitt's kid Tag is in the voting machine business.  Now I don't know if Tag's voting machines are being used in Pennsylvania but regardless, when our vote is privatized, we get the government that our corporate masters allow us to have.

And today Greg Palast is breaking a story on Democracy Now about suppression of the black vote in Ohio.

These bastards are doing everything they can to steal the election for Romney.  Right now I can only hope enough Obama voters are able to get out and vote and get their votes properly counted.

As for me, I voted for Obama on paper with an absentee ballot.  I should have taken one more step though and hand delivered it while waiting to have them check my signature on file to make sure it matched.   Live and learn.

Oh fuck, oh fuck, mother fucking god damn it to hell

So I'm sitting here listening to Nicole Sandler's November 5th show right now and she has Greg Palast on.  I have not finished listening yet but oh fuck.

You see, in an honest election, Obama wins hands down.  If all the people who want to even bother to vote are allowed to vote and their votes are honestly counted, Obama wins.  A good source on that is the 538 Blog out of the NY Times.

Listening to Greg though, the RePIGliCONs are doing everything they can right now to suppress the vote and steal the vote and make sure that Romney wins.  And they are making it virtually impossible for people to vote, especially if you happen to be black while voting.

Look, as much as I would not like it, I would accept a Romney victory if the American people legitimately elected him with the most honest to god votes.  I would be depressed but I would accept it.

But given the shenanigans these RePIGliCON bastards are pulling off, if Romney is declared the winner, he is going to win with an air of illegitimacy.  He won't care, as he will use whatever means it takes to achieve the profitable ends for himself and he doesn't care who he hurts to do it (psychopath!).   And here I was always taught and have always believed that the ends do not justify the means.

But if there is a bright spot here, the UAW has filed an ethics complaint against Romney for his actions in profiting to the tune of up to 115 million dollars in the General Motors bailout.  I still have not seen this in the corporate press, who are avoiding this story like the plague.  But at least it is getting out there.  Maybe enough people in Ohio will know about it and be angry enough about it to get out and vote and win that state for Obama.

Otherwise people, prepare to be harvested.  That is what Romney does in his love for money.  As for Romney loving and caring for people?  Not so much.  Romney loves corporations and billionaires, the only real people in his eyes, while the rest of us 99% real actually people are only things that can be tossed aside and thrown out.  Psychopath.

I hope tomorrow's vote will not make the world safe for psychopaths to achieve their ends or we're all in trouble.

PLEASE VOTE PEOPLE.   VOTE AND VOTE IN HUGE NUMBERS!  Make this election impossible to steal!

Nicole has a video up this morning where a reporter interviews Romney supporters in Ohio.  The people are bat shit fucking crazy.  They are the stupidest god damn fucking idiots I think I have ever seen.  No maybe not.  I'm sure there are stupider people out there, but these people are a close second.

And even if some of these people aren't racists, many of them are.  They so clearly want the black man out of their white house that they'd chop off their noses to spite their faces just to get Obama out.

And they spout the stupidest shit to justify it.  These people are god damned bat shit fucking crazy.

If you see this and you are a registered voter thinking of skipping the election, don't.  Get your butt out and vote.
