I'm really not sure how I feel about Rick Santorum's favorite bugbear.

On the one hand, I think science should not be reined in by the tiny-minded. On the other, I really don't see why we should allow cruelty to animals or humans, for that matter, in the name of science. And I think chimeras raise some very valid questions about what constitutes humanity, and where we must draw the line in terms of "human rights." At any rate, Auntie Beeb
has a hearty chinwag on the issue.
