Consumer Alert - Toy Recall
Via Raw Story comes the AP report that Fisher Price is pulling 83 types of toys, totalling approximately a million in all, including Elmo, Dora, Diego, and Big Bird. Excessive lead in them.
The recall is particularly alarming since Mattel, known for its strict quality controls, is considered a role model in the toy industry for how it operates in China. So if you have kids, don't buy them these toys, and if they already have these toys, prise them out of their sticky little fingers and call Fisher Price.
Fisher-Price and the commission issued statements saying parents should keep suspect toys away from children and contact the company.
Argh. Is nothing safe these days?
