Politics: Good Grief!

What is it with the goddamned Republicans? Is every single one of them a mother-raping, father-fucking, sister-sodomizing, dog-beating closet pervert?

As animal lovers, we at ThePoliticalCat are truly disgusted with these stories that keep coming to light, but slipping under the radar of the Mainstream Media. First it was Bill Frist taking cats home from the pound on the pretext of adopting them, befriending the poor creatures, then cutting them open for surgical experiments. Next it was Judith Nathan Giuliani, cutting living dogs open to demonstrate surgical tools. Then it was Willard "Mitt" Romney tying the family dog to the roof of the car so the poor beast could shit itself with terror, and recounting the story as an example of his cool head in a crisis (Jeebus, don't manufacture the crisis so you can deal with it, fool!).

Then it was Mike Huckabee's dog-torturing son, strangling some poor stray mutt with its leash, slitting its throat, and stoning it to death - while purportedly acting as a counselor to a group of Boy Scouts.

Today's revolting animal scandal of the day is John McCain's national finance co-chair - killing a dog, ripping out its insides, skinning it and prepping it for barbecue.

That is simply unbelievably sick. Why? Because that dog was undoubtedly someone's pet. Because cruelty to animals often spills over into cruelty to other humans. Because killing a dog with a two by four cannot possibly be humane. Argh. Lambert has all the revolting details over at Corrente. Including other criminal behaviour on the part of this revolting excuse for a human being, Frederick V. Malek. The same Frederick V. Malek who has long been accused of anti-Semitism and bigotry in previous political offices.

To quote Lambert:
These are not “isolated incidents.” We’re looking at the Republican aristocracy here, and animal abuse is pervasive among them and their families. It’s no wonder that they turned us into a nation of torturers.
I hadn't thought of it that way before, but now the thought is inescapable. These people make me sick.

Despite the various attempts to smear Dr. Ron Paul's reputation, you'll find not a speck of dirt on his record. Having said that, not all republicans are bad. :-)
