Science: Fall In Love
The NYT carried a wonderful story today about physics professor Walter H.G. Lewin, who teaches at MIT.
Professor Lewin's mission, as he sees it, is to help people fall in love with physics. He does this with amazing real-life demonstrations of the principles of physics, in video (and other medium) lectures. And MIT has very kindly, and in the spirit of international comity and the increasing of intelligence, made his teachings available over the Net.
Together, of course, with a lot of other teachings, on a lot of other subjects, by a lot of other people. So, if you love learning and want to exercise your biggest muscle (OK, it's not really a muscle), your brain, leg it, as it were, over there forthwith, and enjoy!
