Iraq - Suicide? Murder?

What the hell is going on in Iraq? I can't help wondering why the number of "noncombat" casualties has soared in the past year. The article quotes Lt. Gen. Carter Ham, operations director of the Joint Staff:
Ham said morale remains high, but added, "I think there is a general consensus, and several leaders have said this, that for the army 15 months is a long hard tour. It's hard on the soldiers, it's hard on the families."
How can morale be high if the troops are killing themselves? This illegal invasion and occupation is heaping shame and disgrace upon the U.S. military. Is it worth killing your fellow-citizens for a gallon of cheap gas?

End the war. Bring them home NOW!
