The Future Of This Blog
You'll notice we now have an ad.
Having joined the ranks of the Painfully Unemployed, we are casting about for ways to provide for ourself, and it looks as if ads will become a feature. Over the next month or so, we'll also be making lots of other changes. What the hell, we've got the time, at least.
Let us know what you think. As long as it's not too rude or inflammatory.

Oh, noes, Political Cat! Is there a story to tell - or is that too personal? Was it something you were expecting or did it come out of the blue? Inquiring minds want to know what happened, if you care to share whatever you feel comfortable sharing.
Dear, sweet Sandy. I don't mind sharing - I (and about 150 of my colleagues) lost our jobs when the company got bought. We didn't expect to get laid off. I certainly didn't! And they waited till the last possible minute to tell us, so it was quite a shock, and I'm still recovering from it. It'll be OK, I'm sure, but it was quite a blow.
