Health Care: What YOU Can Do
If you haven't done it yet.
ICHC
Eve Gittelson, who blogs as NYCEve over at Daily Kos, needs YOU to sign this goddamned petition. Pass it on, fer the luv o'Mike, and make sure you, and all your friends, neighbours, and cow-orkers sign it!
People, we need to get out there in front of the GOP on this issue. We NEED health care reform with a strong public option, and we need it NOW. Don't let these shite-talkers fool you. The Pharm industry, the health care insurance industry, and the medical lobbyists would not be pouring $1.4 MILLION per day to fight against health care if they didn't think we had a real chance to win.
What? Nobody pours money down the drain. These people are in it for the money. Our money. Yours and mine. They're already drafting plans to raise health care costs, and employers are responding by increasing the amount YOU will pay for your health care. Can you afford to pay more? Do you want to pay more? Real wages have been stagnant for a long time, and they're not going up any time soon.
The same government-run health care that has benefited all those hypocritical Congresscritters who want to deny you what they're getting (for far less than you're paying) has done a fine job of taking care of Federal employees for decades. Why shouldn't you have the same thing your elected representatives have? Do you see any of them dropping their government-run health plan because it's not good enough? Not a single anti-healthcare reform Congresscritter has come out against their own insurance plan or offered to put their money where their mouths are by dropping the coverage in favour of private health care, which they keep telling us is so great. If it's so damn good, you guys, you go first. Drop your government-run health care and get some of that fine private insurance. Go on! Show us the way, you assholes!
Mike Enzi? Mr. "Health care with a public option will never pass"? Drop your government-run health care NOW or explain to us why you won't vote to give us the same thing that you're enjoying, because we're paying for your health insurance, motherfucker.
Jon Kyl? John McCain? Any Republicans out there willing to walk the walk? Or are y'all just good at flapping your gums?
*crickets*
OK, peeps. Facebook friend POE alerted me to these cool tools for fighting the healthcare fight. Sign Firedoglake's petition, and go do some health care reform organization while we still can, and before the damn health insurers suck every last drop of blood right out of our bodies!
Oh, yeah, and don't give me that "I haz helf insurans" line. Yeah, you got it now. But for how long?

I'm afraid, TPC, that this ain't gonna happen. It's been, what, close to a month now since I've issued my challenge to wingnuts -- and nobody has responded! Can you imagine?
I even brought it directly to some freepers on a forum that will remained unmentioned -- and as soon as I encouraged them to give up their evil socialisticky-ish benefits (so they could, using their words, "get the guvinment the fuck out of (their) face!"), they shut up and disappeared.
I don't know what to think about it... I'm far too, er, noble to suspect that these people would be such massive hypocritical assholes. But if not hypocritical assholes, then what -- idiots?
It pains me to think such cynical thoughts about other human beings. Sigh.
Well, get used to the pain, Elizabeth. These worthless sacks o'shit are beyond redemption. I try, I try my best not to be too harsh (you doubt, woman), I try to reach out as much as I can, but every now and then they send me straight back into ass-kicking mode. Miserable motherfuckers.
Hey that's ME!
Good to see you on the facebook! Really, I need to get to bed - health care rally early in the morning...thanks TPC!
Hey, POE! Sure is. Wow, you work so hard, I'm impressed. Have a good time at the rally, and you're always welcome!

That is a wonderful quote.
Thank you, libhom! Nothing like a GLH to point the way. :)
It doesn’t seem to me as healthcare cant be made to feel luxurious. My experience with the elite health care services defines a very different story. Right now, I am engaged in Elitehealth.com concierge wellness program which is designed for healthcare at concierge level. They are providing me medication with care at the highest level of comfort. Their wellness program allows me to have a direct access to my personal physician via phone and email, but also in the emergency situation which I had because of having a heart attack, physician came home and also were present in the emergency room to expedite my care. They provided me a patient care concierge who managed all my transportation and accommodation. All this meant a lot to me when it comes to health. So, a concierge level hospitalization is a boon to me, and many other who are desiring to experience.
Hey, Brate? I'd probly be a lot more impressed if you weren't, like, posting from fucking India, you know? It's sad that the fucking insurance companies are hiring spambots in India to convince us that we need to pay even more money to avoid health care for the masses. Please tell your corporate paymasters that I extend to them the rigid digit, bub. Tx.
