Politics - One More Down!

Senator John Warner of Virginia will not run for re-election, AP tells us in a piece published yesterday.

I suppose he could no longer square the increasing number of deaths, American and Iraqi, with his conscience. At least he has one. When will the other chickenhawks put up or shut up and step down? Lindsey Graham, you'd better come to your senses before your secrets come tumbling out of the closet.

I hope a Democrat - and not just any democrat, but a populist, progressive democrat - wins his seat. At the very least, the Republicans will have to spend money defending that seat.
