Hi, Political Cat!
Did you do a blog post about Julie Amero awhile back? (It might have been Hecate). She's been granted a new trial:

I've been following this to find out what the resolution was, since it seemed so unfair to sentence her to prison for something totally out of her control.
Yes, I did, and thank you very much for that tip. I will follow it up with a post. Please come visit and give me your comments and advice as much as you can, dear Sandy. I took your excellent advice about posting and it's made a real difference. Thanks, ever so much. By the bye, I left you a comment on Lizzy's site. I hope you don't think I was being too forward.
Political Cat -- I did read your comment and I can't find the right words to express my thanks and appreciation for your generous offer!
Who knows what the future will bring? For now, I hope I have the resources to handle it, especially since I know a number of people who have pets and live on limited incomes. They manage somehow!
Dear Sandy, I live up to my commitments (ask Jeffraham). You would make such a wonderful felinquent carer, and there are so many felinquents searching for one such as you! I would feel proud and privileged to be added to your family. In fact, I'll start putting some dollars away to that end - no pressure, my dear. If you decide you'd be better off catless, I can always send the fund to the local no-kill shelter!
Your generosity leaves me speechless!
I will take you seriously. In fact, I've been talking about this with friends lately. The apartment I'm in doesn't allow pets, but some senior housing does. I'll let you know what happens.
Many thanks!
