Politics: Upholding the White House's Standards

Does this guy look creepy to you?

This is Tim Goeglein, until recently a White House employee, forced to resign his lucrative position as Chimpy McDunce's liaison to conservative Christian groups when some enterprising souls discovered that twenty of the columns he had written for publication (work that he got paid for) &mdash were plagiarized. We wonder why someone making $125,000 per year would need more money; and why he would try to get that money dishonestly. Plagiarization is the act of stealing someone else's work and passing it off as your own. We wonder why someone who works with conservative Christian groups and can therefore be implied to share their religion, if not their principles, would find it necessary, and acceptable, to steal.
The White House said Goeglein has apologized for not upholding the standards expected by the president.
We beg to differ. Given Halliburton/KBR and the Carlyle Group's outrageous profits over the past X years that simultaneously drained the treasury and put a siphon hose into the pockets of taxpayers, it seems Goeglein was adhering very closely to the standards of the president.
A White House statement says the president was disappointed to learn of the matter and was saddened for Goeglein and his family. It said Bush has long appreciated his service and knows him to be a good person who is committed to his country.
We are constantly amazed by this kind of statement. We were taught that "good" people are not liars, thieves, cheats, profiteers, murderers, war criminals, and shills. Yet everyone that this Misadministration holds up as "good" people embody the worst qualities for which human beings are known. And the press, like the slavering lapdogs that they are, reproduce these comments without any attempt to point out their inherent disingenuousness.

The apple-cheeked little maggot's former employer was Republican ex-Senator Dan Coats of Indiana. Please commit his name to memory. You never know when the little sleazeball will try ripping your work off.
