Not ready for the surveillance state?

Then read on. There is a most read article in Harpers you need to read. You have to read. Read it! And just wait for the day when you must have your own telescreen in your home, in every room, watching everything you do 24/7. Chris Dodd won a battle yesterday, Thank you Chris Dodd! But it is just one battle. If Americans don't rise up, without regard to political party, and stand with Senator Dodd on this, then it is over. Welcome to 1984.

Stumble It!

Here is your new pledge of allegiance. Get used to it.

I pledge allegiance to President Bush, hero of America, and to his rule for which he stands, one nation, under foot, with total surveillance, mind control, and perpetual war for all.

At the risk of having a mutual admiration society, TPC, you rock! And to complete the circle, Ms. Manitoba rocks too!

Another shameless fan here
:-)

But what bugs me is how the major media continues to bury this larger story. It should be leading and on the front page of all the papers with a big EXTRA! EXTRA! EXTRA!

This is huge and affects Americans more than we can imagine. Its about who we are, a free society or subjects in a totalitarian state. I can just hear the Bush sycophants now, "I'm not doing anything wrong, why should I worry?" But then they are so full of fear that they need a big daddy Bush to protect them and to hell with their rights or the Constitution or anything else. Whatever happened to that great American saying, "Give me liberty or give me death!"

Instead of land of the free and home of the brave, America has become land of the scardy cats and home of the yellow bellied chickens.
