What the fuck is wrong with these people, folks? Can anyone tell me? The latest scumbag to be exposed as a pedophilic pervert is none other than an ex-cop and minister from Springfield, according to this article. And don't try telling me he's not a Republican, or at the very least, a political conservative. In fact, here he is, in his own unbelievably hypocritical words:

In December 1986, Carlock wrote a letter to the State Journal-Register complaining about a cartoon. In the letter, he said he was a conservative Christian and not ashamed of the fact.

“I am not in favor of censorship, but do feel that far too much ‘smut’ has been poured into the minds of Americans by all forms of media,” he wrote.

“I have spent the past 16 years in law enforcement and related professions. I have spoken with victims and offenders and have read many case histories in which pornographic materials played an overwhelming role in the events that have left lives shattered and homes broken.”

Later in the letter, he wrote: “Why is it so unreasonable to assume the government has the right to protect the public from the harmful effects of pornography (especially in light of the vast amounts of evidence to support this claim)?”

This from a man who had at least 21 videos of child pornography in his home when it was searched, as well as "numerous pictures" of naked children on his computer and his digital camera, taken by him while he was "performing" at a children's orphanage in the Philippines.

Three of the children at the orphanage claim that Carlock fondled them. Carlock has worked as a juvenile counselor and a trainer with the Illinois Department of Corrections, a police officer (youth division detective), and some unnamed position with the Illinois Department of Public Health in the child health division. He also worked as a juvenile officer in the Grandview Police Dept.

Carlock is an ordained minister, originally with the Church of Nazarene and currently with the Missionary Church International and a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. The 6-year-old boy assigned as Carlock’s Little Brother reportedly told police Carlock had never touched him, but that Carlock had given him two movies – one of the two of them fishing together and a second that showed naked pictures of boys and girls. Investigators retrieved the DVDs, the affidavit said.

Good grief. And he's married with grown children. Didn't the thought ever cross his perverted wretched mind, as he was using his position of power and authority to subject these children to his revolting sexual advances, that, as a father he should have been thinking about protecting them? Or maybe he sexually abused his children too.

What do you want to bet that he's avidly anti-GLBT rights? Even downright homophobic? This guy isn't gay, he's a pedophile, but I'll bet he projects his fear and hatred of what he is onto people whose only crime is to love a consenting adult of the same gender.

The paper reports that his wife is divorcing him. Good. I hope she takes all their assets and he stays in jail till he's 90.
