Big bonuses a help in military recruiting
Another misuse of *our* tax dollars. There's a short item in today's SF Chronicle:
The Army and Marine Corps doled out nearly $640 million in the past year in bonuses to entice recruits to join the military...Reminds me of that bumper sticker:
... The money has proved to be a strong recruiting tool. As a result, the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force all met their recruiting goals for the fiscal year that ended Tuesday.
IT WILL BE A GREAT DAY WHEN OUR SCHOOLS GET ALL THE MONEY THEY NEED AND THE AIR FORCE HAS TO HOLD A BAKE SALE TO BUY A BOMBER Stumble It!
