World: Elder Sister of Thai King Dies

Raw Story is reporting that Princess Galyana Vadhani, the elder sister of His Majesty King Rama IX Bhumipol Adulyadej, died today.

The princess was a granddaughter of King Chulalongkorn, and the daughter of Prince Mahidol and his wife Sangwal, a commoner. She died of abdominal cancer at the age of 84. She is survived by her daughter and grandson.
