Politics - The Corruption

Wasn't this the same Bush sibling who made millions off the Savings&Loan scandals? Unlike his brother Jeb, who sold defective pumps to Louisiana (and also benefited from the S&L scandal), Neil has moved on to better things. He is now fleecing the taxpayers in the name of education.

On the plus side, at least someone's paying attention:
"It is astonishing that taxpayer dollars are being spent on unproven educational products to the financial benefit of the president’s brother," Melanie Sloan, CREW's executive director, said in a news release. "The IG should investigate whether children’s educations are being sacrificed so that Neil Bush can rake in federal funds."

Neil Bush first attracted public scrutiny for his role in the Savings and Loan scandals of the late 1980s when a Colorado S&L on whose board he served failed. The scandal cost taxpayers $1.6 billion.
On the minus side, this story is not getting much attention in the mainstream press.

Please spend a few minutes writing an actual physical letter to the editor (LTTE) of your local fishwrap. Feel free to send them email as well, but they still tend to respond better to letters.
